Hi, I'm Roman, aka Serafeim.
The name “Chamomile” comes from my childhood nickname Romashka (Chamomile), which is derived from the Ukrainian name Roman. I was baptized as Serafeim in honor of St. Seraphim of Sarov at a monastary in Colorado, USA. This site is meant to be simple and minimalistic, offering a glimpse into the early internet and a time before the attention economy took over the digital landscape.
The golden sun wheel in my logo is the Kolovorot, it is a traditional Slavic symbol of the cycle of life, resilience, and the eternal return of light.
Interests
Photography, cycling, emergency medical services (EMS) and search and rescue operations, herbalism, Linux and digital minimalism, languages (Suomi, Русский, Українська, 普通话), and Orthodox spirituality.
